Staff
Dr. Eddie Doughty
Dr. Eddie Doughty graduated with honors from Ross University with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. He did a clinical year at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and an externship at the University of Missouri in the Cardiology Dept.
Dr. Doughty began practicing veterinary medicine in 1998. He is a member of the AVMA. He was born and raised in Kentucky and has lived in Utah since 2001. Dr. Doughty and his wife Dawn have 3 children and multiple pets. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, golfing and fishing.
Misty – Office Manager
Misty has worked in the animal care field since 2001 and has worked with Dr. Doughty throughout her career. Her experience as a veterinary technician has prepared her for her role as Office Manager at BVH. Misty was born in Utah and raised in California, before coming back home. Misty says what she loves most about working at Bluegrass is the wonderful staff and appreciates the family atmosphere. In her spare time Misty loves to read and enjoys spending time with her family. She has a golden retriever named Chynax.
Crystal – Veterinary Technician
Crystal has been a Veterinary Technician since 2007. She graduated from Broadview University’s Veterinary Technician program in June 2011 and will be taking the national technician certification exam. When not at Bluegrass Veterinary Hospital, Crystal is also a veterinary Oncology Technician in Salt Lake. She loves being in a small animal practice and has a special fondness for cats. At home Crystal spends her time with her family swimming, camping, and riding ATV’s. She looks forward to all the years to come for her career, and learning more to help animals every day.
Sarah – Veterinary Technician
Sarah has been a veterinary technician since 2002 when she started the Registered Veterinary Technician program at Mt. San Antonio College in southern California. She was born and raised in Vancouver B.C, Canada. Managed and trained Western Pleasure Quarter horses in California as well as worked for veterinarians. Sarah enjoys playing with her German Shephard puppy “Gambit”, hiking, swimming, and travelling.
Gloria – Veterinary Technician
Gloria has been in the field since 2000 and began working with Dr. Doughty in 2001. She loves animals and has a particular interest in learning all she can about animal behavior. She was born in Philadelphia and raised in Utah. Gloria is an avid soccer fan, loves reading and adores nature. She has an Australian Shepherd named Flap.
